I know this is one long post but I still wanted it on my blog. I completely agree with you. Today I found out that the European Commision is investigating few Spanish clubs, Barcelona is one of the clubs and it made me happy. I know any loss of funds can be really harmful for our club but I wish football was a bit more fair. Whenever one team hogs a little more than it is supposed to someone small on the other end pays for it.

On most days I am okay with all of this mess. But somedays I am just so tired of everything because the negativity kind of eats away my energy. The whole ref thing was a horrible thing with us as well, and to some extent it still is. Generally ref calls almost always favor the stronger or bigger team. It is not just us who got favorable calls, but thanks to that piece of shit Mourinho for a while people made it seem like we were the only ones. The whole ref paying thing is so terrible.

Then there is so much politics involved in the Barcelona and Madrid rivalry. On most days it’s good. On other days it just seems unbearable. I have seen Madridista (from Madrid) say some of the nastiest things. Same goes for Barcelona fans who are very anti madridista. I am sure I also have my part in this but the anti-barcelona or anti-madrid thing seems too much to me. It is ridiculous that at a clasico you would rather wear an anti-madrid or anti-barcelona scarf rather than one that shows support for your own club. I never understood how much you have to hate a club, or the fans to run a hate blog every day, or openly state in your about me that if the person supports the rival team they need to stay away. Then I realize maybe I am the same way just to a lesser extent. I have both Madrid and Bayern blacklisted because most of the time they piss me off. Bayern because I was so done with the arrogant fans last year and now because of Mario and Thiago, and Madrid because well…they are Madrid. I like so many things related to Madrid and yet I hate it when good things happen to Madrid. I want Madrid to always fail but not fail so much where it would harm Barcelona. Because when your competition is weak, you get weaker. They make each other better. I want Madrid to do well, but I want them to fail at the same time. It makes no sense and it drives me nuts.

I hate how respectable figures in the game say ridiculous things. And when bad things happen instead of calming people down they make the situation worse by instigating fans. People take advantage of situations and I hate it. I hate when players lie and stupid fans believe them. (I am probably stupid myself)

So basically all these things suck. But then there are those days where I see two rival players hug, and my team plays a beautiful game, players show support to each other in time of need… a player overcomes all odds and succeeds…And it feels like those beautiful things are worth all the nasty shit we regularly put up with. I decide to stick around.

I think we do need some of these things. Barcelona probably would not seem this beautiful without big bad Madrid. Winning an award or a title would not mean so much if I wasn’t so anxious and nervous at the beginning. I probably wouldn’t feel so damn proud and happy at the end if some asshole fans didn’t put me down first. A player’s loyalty would not mean so much if some pig didn’t show you what betrayal looked like. So yeah, I guess we need a bit of this. I hope that makes sense.

But tonight I am tired so I say all this shit sucks. We need healthier nicer football!!

David Villa with his daughters Zaida & Olaya

elmonblaugrana:

I’m a horrible person, I know, but this pic always makes me crack up. HAHAHAHA Olaya seems like she’s crying, and David seems so chilled. When I saw this the first time, my first reaction was: HAHAHAHA.
